He Ahi Limited Partnership, a commercial entity of Te Pae o Waimihia Trust through a partnership with Contact Energy, have undertaken the development of a large-scale Eco-Business Park tailored to facilitate the use of geothermal energy for small to moderate businesses.
Egmont Dixon was involved in developing the strategy for the site from the outset. Feasibility work, planning advice, resource consent management and development and project management services were all part of the service provided.
The first tenant to secure a location within the eco-business park was fertiliser technology company Tnue. Alongside the management services provided to He Ahi, Egmont Dixon also provided project management services for the design and delivery of Tnue’s new factory.
The facility spans a site area of 6,240m² and features a 1,500m² building, divided between factory space and a bulk stacking area with a drive-through canopy. It includes a 1,230m² concrete area and a 3,510m² grassed area, prepared for future warehouse development with on-site stormwater treatment. He Ahi Limited Partnership engaged a local construction company, under a negotiated design and build contract, ensuring a bespoke fit-out tailored to the client's and tenant's needs.
By providing additional guidance and support, Egmont Dixon assisted the contractor in adapting the Design and Build model, demonstrating our commitment to delivering excellence. This project exemplifies our ability to manage complex developments and integrate innovative solutions for a sustainable future.
