James Zimmerman
Senior Project Manager, Taranaki
James started as a project engineer in Oil and Gas in Taranaki a few years back before moving to Wellington to take on seismic strengthening projects.
A total industry change came next, working client-side for a Biopharmaceutical manufacturer. The opportunity to work with Egmont Dixon then appeared, and he has hasn’t looked back.
James rightly considers project management to be as much about the people that you work with as the projects themselves. No project is the same and no team is identical, and James thrives on that kind of diversity: “it’s what makes life interesting”. When asked what a project manager does, James has a refreshingly simple (and accurate) answer: “I just make sure things get done, whatever that thing may be!”.
